One To Get Over
[ listen to the bedroom demo in Realaudio ]

Yes it’s still true
I’m blue over you
and all that I do
I’m thinking of you
the bills that we paid
the sacrifice made
we built an arcade
to the fights we had played

You are always my one to get over
I have never loved anyone further
I can’t make it right cause we’re older
and I can’t get you back now

So it’s all true
you’re through being you
there’s nothing to do but
dispose of yourself
and all that remains
is permanent stains
and you tell the boss that you’d
do it again

You are always my one to get over
I have never loved anyone further
I can’t make things right cause we’re older
and I can’t get you back now
You are always my one to get over
I have never loved anyone further
and with all of the pride on our shoulders

I can’t take you back now
no no
I can’t get you back now
no no

Song Notes: One of my personal favorite songs. It's like one big cliche that works. The first time I played it was in San Francisco in 2000. Two girls were crying and said 'it's about a friend that died isn't it?'. It's really about a relationship that can never work, but the funny thing is that I've recorded it about 8 times and can never get it to sound right. Maybe one day I'll get it.
