The Works
in Progress
LP
was a collection
of bedroom demos
made over a
period of 2
1/2 years in
Emeryville and
Hollywood California.
Starting a simple
followup to
the "Prequels"
project, this
release was
filled with
numerous and
extended delays
as it grew from
a 10 track collection
to a double-sized
single disc
of 22 songs.
The album first
appeared at
the December
17th, 2002
Bay Area show
in a limited
edition individually-numbered
run of 22 copies
in special wrap-around
packaging.
A condensed
12-track version
of the album,
Auditions,
was released
on April 30th,
2003. A remastered edition of Auditions was issued in February of 2005, with several more tracks released on the collection Callbacks, released soon after, in May.
